MAY 7
For those of you who think retirement years are easy… Think again! Linden normally tries to bring you commentary of a political nature: there simply wasn’t time to string thought together in this regard. Maybe these two items he found interesting will earn your forgiveness.
Many years ago on a work related assignment, I intended to drive maybe 100 miles North of Indianapolis. Since I had tried to play the harmonica many times, I thought I would try again while driving. I stopped at a music store on the way, bought a harmonica, blew on it for hours on end both going and returning. Never hit two recognizable notes in a row.
I took the harmonica home and laid it on the dining room table and my young son came by, asked about it and then took it to his room. About ten minutes later he came back out and said, “Listen to this.” It is hard to like a kid that adapts so quickly to an impossible to play instrument. He then said, “I’m going to take it to school tomorrow for show and tell.” Hateful kid! Chuck is responsible for me showing you this link:

Walther Williams is one of my favorites. Here is a subject worth thinking about:

LINDEN'S LIFE:
I went for my usual Study Buddy session only to find out that her class had gone on a field trip. I fasted and prayed for Tavriski Christian Institute. Had dinner at my church then participated in our WW II and Korean veterans program presented to the student portion of our educational effort. It went very well. Three of the veterans spoke for a period from the front and then we all talked to the students who were at our table. One of the rather large group at my table said, “I could have listened for three more hours.”

Linden’s book “BIBLE BASED PUZZLES” ($4.00) is a collection of 78 cryptograms, one or more selected from each book of the Bible. Answers are provided if you should become stumped.
The book “LETTERS TO GOD” ($4.00) is a collection of 53 real prayers written to address the needs of real people. After being written, they were kept in a Bible for about five years before being published. How these prayers were answered also appears, if known.
Now that Linden’s 2009 sales have financed two goats for some of the needy in the world, his next goal is to fund the purchase of a water buffalo. Order at:
