FIRST IMPRESSION:
At the Tuesday Roundtable breakfast meeting of the Hendricks county Republicans, it was Linden’s pleasure to meet and visit with Will Weaver (of the Indiana family popcorn business) who is strongly considering a run for the Senate seat now occupied by Evan Bayh. Perhaps this could be another answered prayer.

Will is articulate and presents a very good appearance. As opposed to Evan, Will actually is an Indiana resident. He has never ran for political office before: in this day overburdened with professional politicians, Linden sees that as a plus.

As for Evan, Linden would like to refer you to a recent National Taxpayers Union rating of officeholders within which they stated “The Taxpayer Score measures the strength of support for reducing spending and regulation and opposing higher taxes.” Evan earned exactly the same NTU Score as did Harry Reid of Nevada. They both flunked the test. For any thinking person who follows politics at all, no further words should be necessary.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
At the breakfast mentioned above, Sandy Bettner a Precinct Committeeman from Brownsburg was presented with The Herschel Gentry Award which denotes outstanding service to the Republican party. She was announced as one of the two winners at our Lincoln Day Dinner but could not be present to accept the award. As a side note, Linden was awarded this honor some years ago. At the breakfast, there was also a good presentation regarding solidly developed plans for a Hendricks county YMCA.

Linden’s book “BIBLE BASED PUZZLES” ($4.00) is a collection of 78 cryptograms, one or more selected from each book of the Bible. Answers are provided if you should become stumped.

The book “LETTERS TO GOD” ($4.00) is a collection of 53 real prayers written to address the needs of real people. After being written, they were kept in a Bible for about five years before being published. How these prayers were answered also appears, if known.
