COMPARING EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS:
Linden, after long years of observing some of the output of the Ivy League type schools, has often felt that the value of the education received in such settings is vastly overrated and overpaid.

To illustrate this line of thinking, he chooses our President who had little to recommend him for the office he holds and very few accomplishments of note since assuming the office. His background includes Columbia University and Harvard Law School. Sarah Palin has effectively performed in several leadership positions and appears to be a forceful leader, graduated from The University of Idaho after attending several other schools.

Linden would ask you to judge but the American people have recently shown little ability in the judgment area.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
While on my way to the post office, I dropped off my most recent book with Donna. Had biscuits and gravy at Chick-fil-A, went by UPS and Pier 14 and back home. Talked to Carl Van Dorn—included in our conversation was mention of he and Joyce taking me to Steak and Shake the last time they were in Plainfield. I said that I had recently seen an ad for a Guacamole Steakburger. We agreed that it sounded worth trying. So, later in the day, I had one with French fries and thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

As it often does, it brought tears to my eyes.
