II KINGS
The prophet Elijah is carried away to heaven and the prophet Elisha succeeds him. Elisha also performed many miracles.
As usual, there is much fighting and killing. King Jehu of Israel managed to exterminate the Baal worshippers even though he was not a truly godly man
King after king, after king, ruled in both Israel (the Northern kingdom) and Judah (the Southern kingdom), all sorts or fighting, killing and intrigue were the norm. The kings were, generally speaking, not men of God.
The book ends sometime around 600 years before the birth of Jesus Christ with Judah under the control of Babylon and Israel under the control of Assyria.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Was busy at and around home all day. Did get the tax and census forms mailed. Talked to Brian a bit about our favorite TV program, 24.
I enjoyed Sharon’s posting of March 22 entitled I’M BACK. View it at http://sherbitter.livejournal.com/
You should also view Katie’s posting of March 22 about a little Dinka girl. View it at http://www.kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com/

SOME OTHER INVOLVEMENTS
Writing and publishing. Contact me at lswift8@aol.com to request information relative to ordering any of my eight books and one CD.
Reaching out. I normally contribute modestly in a number of areas. Now I also contribute a portion of book sales income to this support. I also accept contributions for this effort. I was so pleased with the 2009 results that I’m expanding the effort in 2010. New or expanded recipients in 2010 include:
January, TCM, Austria, ministry scholarship. http://www.tcmi.org/
February, Hillsdale College. www.hillsdale.edu
March, African ministry. http://www.kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com/
The Book Nook, 33 E. Main, Mooresville is a local source of Linden’s books and CD.
