SHALLOW THINKING

The proposal by Senator McConnell to allow Obama to raise the debt ceiling without Congressional action was received with unbelief and consternation by conservatives. Why in the world would any Republican get the democrats off of the hook this early in the current financial debacle? These few words are the first example of shallow thinking.
The next example comes from a call made by a “Republican” to a talk radio show saying that he, because of McConnell, could no longer support the party he claimed to be a member of. How in the world are any of those who were first elected to Congress last November responsible in any way for the actions of one person who is too eager to compromise? How can any person who was pleased with the results last November and hopes for continuation of the trend in 2012 engage in such shallow thinking. The actions of one is not reflective of conservative thinking.

LINDEN’S LIFE
Wednesday, I went to Chick-fil-A again for biscuits and gravy and, of course, coffee. Jack, Helen, Julie Spires and her three kids were there so I had a nice visit. From there I went on to the credit union, post office, and church. At home, did some paperwork and a little bit of writing.
