MARK 4:1 - 41

Speaking from a boat because the crowd was so large on the shore, Jesus, in parables, illustrated that not all seed sown will result in a bumper crop; that one must hold their lamps high to illuminate; sowing the word is like sowing seed; and that from a small seed a large result may be secured.
That evening, Jesus and the disciples were crossing the lake when a furious storm occurred. Jesus, who was asleep, was awakened by the terrified disciples. He quieted the storm and chastised the disciples for having so little faith.

LINDEN’S LIFE
A large portion of Tuesday was consumed by going to the VA Hospital in Indianapolis…finding parking there is usually a chore. I expected to get a shingles shot but, since they were out of the serum, settled for a flu shot. In the evening, I helped grade some of the kids who will be playing basketball in the church early elementary school leagues.
