By “youngsters,” Linden means any wage earner under the age of 55 and the younger the age the more thankful he is for your financial sacrifices as you finance the social security benefits for those oldsters who are drawing the benefits. It seems that not a soul talks about reducing the benefit amount for those older than 54.

As social security is more and more often referred to as a Ponzi scheme (Linden first referred to it as such in writing about five years ago) and there is much doubt about the young ever realizing any benefit for their support of the program, it seems like not a very good time to celebrate the recently announced increase in benefits for current recipients. My poor children! My even poorer grandchildren.

LINDEN’S LIFE

On Thursday at 8:00 I joined Bill, Chuck, and Jack for breakfast. Went from there to a store to prepare for the Golden Glows pitch-in at 11:30. We had good food and a good program. From there, went to the post office and to my credit union. Back home, talked to Brian and to my book printer.
