MAKING OBAMA LOOK BETTER

Most of us know…or should know that the 8.2% unemployment figure that is often stated is pretty much meaningless. The actual rate is probably twice that of which is most often quoted. Luckily for our hapless President the residents of 17 States elected Republicans as Governor in 2010 and each one of them contributed to a reduction in the unemployment rate for their State. This, of course, helped to overcome the less than stellar performance of those States led by democrats and brought the overall percentage down. The following link explains further:

Sunday, August 5, 2012 is the date of the 7^th annual Plainfield Christian Church free (donations will be accepted to benefit the bands) bluegrass music and southern gospel concert. Music will start shortly before 3:00 p.m. and end at 5:00. Featured bands are: that of 10-year-old Kyle Ramey, The Gospel Servants quartet, and The Birch Creek Bluegrass Band.

Monday was cooler in Plainfield that it has been for a while: still no rain at my place. I went to the credit union, two groceries and the post office in the morning and, later, by the church for a while. Was busy doing mostly meaningless things.
