HELP WANTED

It appears that in the last general election there were no Republican candidates in 39 districts scattered across 15 states. These positions offer much more than just good pay. Some of these districts are listed below in State, District and general location sequence. Please help find a Republican candidate in these districts. Even if these districts can reasonably be considered “lost causes,” the effected taxpayers need to have a choice.

California 20 Fresno general area
California 31 Part of Los Angeles County
California 33 Part of Los Angeles County

Georgia 5 Atlanta area

Maryland 5 Calvert, Charles & St. Mary’s Counties
Maryland 7 Baltimore & adjacent Counties

Michigan 13 Wayne County area
Michigan 15 Detroit area

In recent ratings, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste considered 32 of the present officeholders (democrats) to be hostile, 6 unfriendly, and 1 lukewarm to taxpayers. The National Taxpayers Union granted a grade of “F” to 36 of this group while 3 of them rose to a “D”.
MEDIA MISSES
This posting is for the purpose of calling attention to some of the recent happenings that the media has, or probably will, largely chosen to overlook. Some would attribute this to the ovewhelmingly liberal bias of the media.
On October 2, 2007, a letter signed by Majority Leader and 40 other democrats was addressed to a business associate of Rush Limbaugh. The letter requested that this associate use his position to influence the content of Mr. Limbaugh's radio program. Would a competent body easily find more important matters to occupy their time than to interfere with the works of a single business?
The astute Mr. Limbaugh promptly auctioned the letter, matched the auction proceeds out of his own funds and contributed the entire amount, I believe over four million dollars, to The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation.
Did you hear anything of this on a "news" broadcast or read of it in your "news" paper?
Kyle-Anne Shiver's December 27 American Thinker column entitled "Top Advisor's Role Needs Clarification" properly addresses questions that Hillary Clinton should be asked regarding her husband's role in her campaign. Will they be asked?
Donald Lambro's December 31 Townhall.com column entitled "Clueless Congress' Bloated Budget Should Be Busted" lists and questions where your money is directed. Will you read about this?
Kyle-Anne Shiver's January 1 American Thinker column "Dreaming of a United-We-Stand America In 2008" did not select my favorite candidate but, her thinking is so directed that I may have to re-evaluate my own. You probably will not find its equal.
