QUALIFICATIONS

Some, including Linden, believe that President Obama is remarkably under-qualified to held the position he was elected to fill. There is no real point in enumerating his shortcomings: Assuming that you are reasonably intelligent and somewhat aware of what desirable qualifications may be, you are already aware of those. This, dear reader, does not mean that he has no potential value to our great country.

If Obama is now a square peg in a round hole, it is because he is in the wrong position. Recent history proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he would be a great Secretary of the Treasury! His ability to identify those who have or may have tax liabilities has not been surpassed in recent history: Perhaps never.

Consider what he could do in the pursuit of Daschle, Geithner, Jefferson, Killifer, Rangel, Richardson and Solis, democrats all, for starters. Perhaps the best use of the catch phrase “culture of corruption” is to apply it here. As Secretary of the Treasury, Obama could really utilize his “hope” and “change” line and not wreck the 200-year history of our country.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Friday: Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6:00. Did two loads of wash and several odd jobs.
Saturday: Prayer Breakfast at Kingsway church. Had a book signing at Secondhand Stories: Went OK. Was tired when I got home.
Sunday: Church, Sunday school, absolutely failed to send a photo to the drug store for copying. Frustrating. Went to visit Jack and Helen. He has made noticeable improvement since I last saw him. Later, I sent the picture to him and he was able to copy it.

Linden’s book “A SWIFT: NOT JONATHAN” ($6.95) is a collection of short stories or essays, song lyrics, poetry and a Christian play.

‘MIND OVER FATTER” ($3.00) presents the theory of vicarious exercise and other “different” thoughts.

Linden hopes his always modest 2009 sales will finance the purchase of two goats for the needy somewhere in the world. Order at:
