SUSPICIONS

Could it be that some of our political leaders are not really as clueless as they appear to be? Could it be that many of them really want our country to go from a three class (poor, middle, upper) society to one where there are only the poor and the rich?

Now, many of the poor aspire to be middle class and many of they middle class aspire to be rich. There is usually little chance of jumping directly from poor to rich.

The politicians, with their connections and their generous pensions have little to fear. Yet. As Linden has only recently made the transition from middle-middle class to lower-middle class, he is becoming more and more suspicious of our governing bodies. Even more so of the lackluster media.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Friday: Men’s Prayer Breakfast at my church. Later, Gail faxed tax related stuff to Sam for me. Saw Diana at the bookstore: got some forms from her. Received a nice package from Katia: Kringles from the Danish baker:
http://www.ohdanishbakery.com/
She knows that I love sweets and that bakery produces some masterpieces. They have a weekly “win a Kringle" contest.
Came across a reminder of Rubye that brought tears.

Saturday: Men’s Prayer Breakfast at Kingsway church. Joined two other members of my writers group for a large “garage sale”. Each of us sold a few items. Brian, his daughter, Alison, and one of her friends came by after I returned home. Nice visit. Later, Brian and I went to an Irish pub for dinner and a most enjoyable visit.
Sunday: Moved the clocks an hour forward last night and I was a deadhead all day. Was so sleepy after church services that I didn’t stay for Sunday school. Did attend evening services.
