DOWNHEARTED?

Downhearted? Linden would have to say, “yes, maybe a little.” With each passing day he has greater concern for the future of our country. Luckily, Linden is of a rather advanced age so his period of suffering, because of the leadership our country now has, will be shorter than that of many others.
Linden was not in favor of the TARP bill that was passed in 2008 and has become even less in favor of it with the management (or lack thereof) that it currently has. The passage of the “stimulus” monstrosity without it being read was an insult: As is the contents. Linden cannot think of a bill or agenda item being mentioned that is worthy of his support.
Now, a black day indeed, there is talk of prosecution of those who are suspected of some sort of wrongdoing in regard to treatment of TERRORISTS! How quickly we have become a third world nation. In Linden’s opinion, those who are not some shade of sick at heart are either uninformed, uncaring or maybe just a little thick.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Met some of the guys for coffee shortly after breakfast time. Got a much needed haircut. Sandy came by to talk about cleaning my place. Thuc called to invite me to a get together after Jennifer graduates. He is, rightfully, very proud of her. I am too. Thanks to Bill for providing me with this link to a video I greatly enjoyed:

ADVERTISEMENT 2:
Linden’s book “AN OLD MAN ON THE ST. JAMES WAY” ($6.95) addresses Linden’s thoughts and activities when, as a 75 year old, he crosses Northern Spain on the ancient pilgrimage trail.

“BOUT FIRTEEN COUNTRY CHILDERN RIMES” ($3.00) reminiscent of James Whitcomb Riley, these 20 poems with illustrations address the lives of four-year-old twins. It is written as they may speak.

Now that Linden’s 2009 sales have financed two goats for some of the needy in the world, his next goal is to fund the purchase of a water buffalo. Order at:
