MONDAY AFTER EASTER

It is Linden’s practice to prepare his posting the evening before the posting date. Since he is often critical of a person, a process or some portion of our government, it does not seem to be in keeping with this, the holiest of Christian days for him to prepare such a posting. Therefore, no political matters will be mentioned today.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
For the first time in a long time, all five of were present for our usual Thursday breakfast meeting. It was great! This was followed by a Golden Glows pitch-in luncheon with Judy Gunning, wife of Paul, presenting a Mary Magdalene oriented program. It was most enjoyable: She (Judy) is so talented. Thuc, my friend who is originally from South Viet Nam, called to remind me that his daughter, Jennifer, graduates as a medical doctor May 9. He is rightfully very proud.
At our Men’s Prayer Breakfast on Friday, Bill Furman and Larry Bellville spoke regarding their recent trip to TCI in The Ukraine. Larry brought me back a gift sent from there. I continue to be blest.
Although Saturday was a lovely day outside, I only went out to get my morning paper and to make a trip to the post office. Did some writing and other paperwork. Had a few calls regarding our upcoming veterans recognition effort.

Linden’s CD “SONGS A POOR OLD POLICE DEPARTMENT RETIREE MIGHT WRITE … WHILE WAITING FOR HIS MEAGER PENSION CHECK” ($8.95) is a collection of 13 songs written and sung by Linden.

The book “OUTSTANDING NATIONAL LEAGUE BASEBALL PITCHERS OF THE LAST 42 YEARS” ($3.00) outlines Linden’s rating of those pitchers in the years 1946 through 1987.

Now that Linden’s 2009 sales have financed two goats for some of the needy in the world, his next goal is to fund the purchase of a water buffalo. Order at:
