PALIN TO RESIGN:
With her short announcement, Sarah Palin boosted Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell, sent shock waves through the news media and the throng that likes to think of itself as knowledgeable in all matters politic, and, most importantly, gave hope to those of us who have been waiting in vain for a well spoken conservative voice. What a gal!!

Those “knowledgeable ones” ranged from those that believed her upcoming resignation to be a shrewd political move to those who believe (or say) that she is finished politically (fat chance!) or goofy or pregnant. They have to write something and Smilin’ Sarah was highly successful in driving all other recent news to page two.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Friday brought Men’s Prayer Breakfast which, as usual, was enjoyable: Sandi came and cleaned the lower portion of my quarters while I was there. Later in the day, my young and vivacious friend of long standing, Joyce, and her husband, Carl, came by to see me. We went to Steak and Shake for milkshakes and just a bit of food. Enjoyed their company and the food.
The high point of the rainy Saturday was me sewing buttons on a couple pairs of pants. Poor vision and even poorer coordination made that an event worth taping.
Sunday was church services and not much else worthy of mention.
