GOV. SANFORD & THE NEWS:
Linden almost never intentionally listens to the “news” and closer to never watches it on the networks. He does usually watch it in the late evening for a few minutes and that is usually focused on local events. He does often listen to the radio and it seems that about every thirty minutes a repetitious account is broadcast.
On Wednesday, Linden heard many reports, including part of an interview, regarding Gov. Sanford and his recent departure from the straight and narrow. Although his conduct was unacceptable, at least he was straightforward in his admission and his apology. Poor judgment is about the best that can be said about his conduct.
It will be interesting to see what the “news” purveyors have to say on this subject in the days to come. Linden’s bet is that it will be given major coverage for several days and will never ever be publicly compared to the actions of former President Clinton.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Stopped at Chick-fil-A for biscuits and gravy as I was on my way to pick up groceries and incidentals. Went to see Kent and Donna, he had an unexpected heart bypass operation while I was in Tennessee. He is doing well and is in good spirits. I talked to Julie and exchanged emails with Brian. The really hot weather we have had for the last few days has been really surprising since we are in a period of global cooling. How long will it be before they know this in Washington D.C.?
