THINKING OR TOTALLY UNAWARE??
Normally Linden does not have a great deal of confidence in polls. One can come up with about any answer desired if the question is worded simply to achieve that result. Having heard a discussion of how the question was worded and other areas involved with the poll, Linden is convinced that this poll is about as accurate as one should hope for.

Basically, the question in a Rasmussen poll was (is) do you strongly approve or strongly disapprove of how President Obama is performing his job? There were other graduations between these two extremes.

After almost six months of what many, including Linden, believe to be the strongest ever attack on the foundational beliefs of our country, one has to wonder what many people are thinking. Or, more likely, are there a huge number of people who are simply incapable of meaningful thought.

In this continuing poll, 30% were reported to strongly approve of the way he is performing his job: 38% strongly disapprove, and that leaves 32% who are somewhere between these two beliefs.

It is easy to understand those who disapprove—they have concrete actions which can easily be pointed to which are undermining what has been the foundation of our country for over 200 years.

The only explanations for the 30% who said that they strongly approve are that they support the overthrow of what has been our government (treason) or that they are suffering from acute mental illness. Perhaps there should be another study meant to determine exactly what actions they strongly approve of.

The 32% who expressed no strong belief have to be ones who slept through class during their educational years and are continuing that tradition. Muddleheads!

LINDEN'S LIFE:
The things which seem most worthy of mention within this three day period are: Men’s Prayer Breakfast on Friday; playing golf for the first time this year on Saturday; and church and Sunday school services and brunch on Sunday morning. Our evening services were held in a grove of trees on the North property and watermelon was served to the attendees. Sunday was a good day except that I almost stepped on a snake just outside the entrance to my home. That is twice this year that the little bugger startled me.
In an effort to pamper the Lindenwould editorial board, Linden deleted a great number of items he had listed in the LINKS section. He then added five new links: look at them when you have time.
