VOMIT TIME AND A GOOD ARTICLE:
Sickening is how Linden would describe the bit of the Sonia Sotomayor hearing he watched and the slightly more he heard referred to.

It is possible, because it is such a frequent happening, that he has been less impressed with many of the words spoken by many members of the Senate. All, or almost all, sweetness and light instead of in depth questioning in regard to her judicial aptitude to serve for life on the Supreme Court.

Linden believes that it would be fitting if those sitting in the spectator seats would cause themselves to vomit just prior to vacating that den of iniquity.

In a completely different and much more pleasant vein, please check out the link to a Sarah Palin piece which appeared in the op-ed section of The Washington Post. Linden can not imagine that that bastion of liberalism would ever run it on other than the op-ed side. It is well worth reading. The link appears at the bottom of today’s LINKS section.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
The sounding of the alarm on Tuesday morning came much to early for Linden to graciously face the day. So, he turned it off, turned over and returned to the arms of Orpheus: thereby missing the monthly Republican breakfast meeting.

Took a book I thought he might enjoy to Kent McPhail. Jack came by and installed the latest in the series of antennas for the digital converter for my non-cable TV. Lacking access to many of the channels or programs I might enjoy, it is still much improved. Jack is my favorite technician.

Dinner brought a fabulous meal of the leftovers Marsha had sent home with me last night: a bit of filet, a wonderful rice dish, deviled eggs, mushrooms and both pecan and cherry pie. I heated it in the toaster oven that Paul and Judy gave me. I am so blest.
