NIGHTMARE AGAIN:
After all the “news” coverage it received, I thought that ACORN had been defunded until such time as an incompetent Congress once again provided the organization with some of our taxpayer money. Apparently Linden was wrong. Again!

While listening to a bit of the Laura Ingraham radio show during the time that Congressman Michele Bachmann was the guest, it was said that at the close of business October 31 the new budget goes into effect and that ACORN is funded again. Like any other cancer, it is tough to get rid of. It was suggested that we (you) start calling our Senators and Representatives in the House to advise them of our concern. It is possible that your newspaper should also be contacted and asked it this is a bit of news that they should consider reporting.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Had the second meeting of the new school year with my Study Buddy: it went well and was an enjoyable time. Received a very nice email from Robert at Haus Edelweiss. He and his wife, Sunny, run the kitchen there. The note brought back pleasant memories of Austria. I had thought that I may see my daughter, Julie, today—guess it will be tomorrow. Had an excellent evening meal at church. It was followed by a very good presentation regarding the Holy Spirit.
