A POLITICIAN (OBAMA) AND A PRAYER
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

PRAYER REQUEST FROM KOSOVO

“We have just learned that one of our teachers at Prishtina High School, Ken Reed, developed a detached retina and had to be flown back to the States for emergency surgery. Please join us in praying for Ken! This also means that we are in desperate need of a Freshman and Sophomore English teacher for the rest of this semester! Please pray that God will send us a replacement ASAP. If you or someone you know might be able to fill this position please let us know by contacting us or Gary Palmer at gpalmer.ky@gmail.com

MOSTLY ABOUT ME       lswift8@aol.com
It was very slick outside on Friday but I attended the early Men’s Prayer Breakfast, went to the post office and back by the church. Had a good phone visit with Brian. Watched Butler lose a basketball game and some boxing.

Saturday I had breakfast at the Legion in Avon. Later, I busted up some of the ice leading to where I park the car.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school attendance. Little else of consequence.
