A WATER BUFFALO
Linden is so pleased with his funding, through sales, of two goats for the needy that he decided to share with you readers the letter he sent to friends earlier this week. No mention of politics today:
About 5 weeks ago, some but not all of you were told of my book sales effort this year. It included putting a half dollar in a kitty for each book or CD sold with another half dollar added if the item went to a new Indiana County or new State. The money in the kitty was to fund the purchase, through IDES, of two goats for a family in need.
Thanks to some book sales, some CD sales and some totally unexpected donations, this goal was reached in early March. The message from IDES was “It looks like the goats you have funded will bless some deserving brothers and sisters in Haiti.” Next? Maybe a water buffalo!
Counties so far: Grant, Hendricks, Madison, Marion and Morgan.
States: Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Ohio and Wisconsin. A school in Hawaii is probably the only place in the world that has all of my books.
Sales are handled by Secondhand Stories in the strip mall at Rockville and Raceway roads. To order on line, go to:

Met with Chuck and Bill for breakfast at 8:00 – gave Bill 5 letters for The Ukraine. Did two loads of wash, watched some basketball and not a lot else that was close to productive. Was feeling a bit better than I had been for a few days.
