WORDS

Although there was slight mention of it in The Indianapolis Star, much of the media was filled today with references to the bailout of AIG and the bonus payments they have promised to some of their employees. Prominently mentioned were the words of President Obama as he blasted AIG. He said he would have Treasury Secretary Geithner investigate means of stopping the payments.

Linden is almost reluctant to disagree with many of the words that were spoken or written but, as is reported, if these bonus payments were part of the work agreement before the President and the Congress started shoveling money out of the treasury faster than it could be replaced, it would appear that AIG is legally required to complete the contract.

Perhaps a major part of this problem and many others that are associated, is that neither the Congress nor President Obama had the foresight to include some fiscal responsibility requirements along with the dollars they so freely passed out. TAXPAYER MONEY! MY MONEY! YOUR MONEY! AND THAT OF THE GENERATIONS TO FOLLOW!

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Felt a bit better today than I did Saturday night and Sunday. Did a bit or running around in Plainfield and exchanged some phone calls and emails. Not a taxing day.
