IF
If Rush Limbaugh is correct (we know that he is), it would appear that the truth regarding the much maligned bonus payments to AIG employees has not been as thoroughly covered by the media as it probably should have been.
Rush mentioned that these bonus payment obligations have been well known for over a year and that Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) inserted a stipulation in the stimulus bill to ensure that the bonus payments were exempt from being withheld.
Now, Dodd wants to tax these bonus payments at a 90% rate! Has he no decency? Should more mental health money be directed to the voters in Connecticut?
A refresher: The stimulus bill was passed with virtually no support by the Republicans and was signed into law by President Obama. The democrats own the responsibility for this horrible raid on taxpayer money and for the bonus payment exemption it contains.
A suggestion for Congress and The President: Children, read the bills before you pass them and before you sign them!

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Arose at 4:30 and did the blog posting. Went back to bed and didn’t get up to stay until 7:00. Took Don for coffee and then went to the post office. Prepared some letters to send to The Ukraine. Entered two caption contests and ended the day feeling that I’ve finally made some progress on my stack of unfinished tasks.
