SIX DISASTEROUS MONTHS:
It has now been roughly one year since it was apparent that Obama, barring a miracle, would be the democrat nominee. What a nose dive our country has taken in that year! You do the checking: think about investments, employment (unemployment), housing and foreclosures, international opinion (not that that is one of the more important issues,) decency, and demonstrated competency. Linden has probably only scratched the surface with this list.

It has now been six months since this abomination became our president. Linden never expected to see the time when he was this concerned about the future welfare of our country nor did he think it was possible for the country to dive this far into the tank for socialism so quickly.

You check on what your government (the president and the democrat controlled congress) has done to you and your descendents in this six month period. Check on the legislation that has been passed or an effort is underway to pass it. Check on how many have become unemployed in the last year and the last six months. Check of those who have lost all hope of having a stable retirement income. Check on the financial difficulties that are now present and will be a burden for generations to come. Check on the real desirability of having Sotomayor on the Supreme Court. Check on the solvency of Social Security and Medicare then check on the desirability of having these “deep thinkers” take over the health care system. Check on the real meaning of “hope and change.” Surely you have the intelligence to do this checking. It may be too late for you to do anything other than apologize for the disaster that perhaps you are responsible for.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
The activities in this three day period were all pretty standard—not unusual enough to warrant comment this week. Although it was very cold for this time of year, we had another very nice evening service in the grove of trees on the North property. The service was followed with homemade ice cream and brownies. I viewed a very cute video of my youngest granddaughter as she is in the early stages of learning to walk.
