The Republican breakfast Saturday provided the subject material for today’s posting: Pete Miller was recently selected to fill the remainder of Connie Lawson’s term in the State Senate…she was selected to assume the duties of Indiana Secretary of State. Pete presented the following worthwhile thought: it may have originated with Charles Osgood. Don’t really know.

“An important job had to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.”

Friday brought Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6:00 and I stayed sleepy all day. I visited a garage sale, picked up my mail, and went to the credit union.

Saturday I was at the GOP County Chairman’s breakfast at 8:30 nice visits and the program was good. Was late for my 10:00 writers group meeting. It rained all afternoon so I stayed in my recliner listening to La Traviata.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school services followed by brunch with friends. Listened to bluegrass, Irish and German music in the afternoon.
