COMMENTARY: A BAD REPUBLICAN? :
Yes, a bad Republican is better than a bad for America democrat! It can hardly be argued that many voters believe that Trump is not nearly as conservative as they would prefer. Even stronger is the evidence that Clinton has no record of accomplishment, would probably liberalize the Supreme court to wreck our constitution and, most damning of all, can not be trusted with matters concerned with national security. The two articles linked below are worth reading...particularly the one advocating the many newspapers who have endorsed Clinton retract their poorly thought out mistake.

Friday started with the early morning Men's Prayer Breakfast then, later, Rich and Anna picked me up and we had lunch with some others at The Brownsburg Legion Post. For the first time this year I stayed up late to watch a baseball game: Cubs lost.
Saturday I slept in until about 8:00 Then picked up my mail and talked with Brian Then watched I.U. win a football game and the Cubs lose again.
Sunday started with church and Sunday school attendance. I wasn't feeling well so didn't join friends for brunch....left church early. After a nap I watched the Colts lose a football game and the Cubs win their World Series game.

COMMENTARY: RATING PRESIDENTS, #1 & #13 :
There have been 13 Presidents that I remember as having held office in my lifetime. If things go as planned the next six weekends, starting 9-16-16, I will present my thoughts and evaluation of this group. Today I rate President Reagan as number 1 and President Obama as number 13.
President Reagan put an end to the disastrous Carter years, increased national defense spending, appointed the first woman to the Supreme Court, favored smaller government, was against abortion and favored prayer in schools. He was the “cold war” winner. Although there may have been some fault finding, his two terms were and are almost universally rated as very good for America.
Since at this writing President Obama is still in office his final rating has to be incomplete but it has to be too late to make him other than the worst President of my lifetime. In both the foreign and domestic scenes I can think of no major positive accomplishment.

Wednesday I intended to have breakfast at home but the milk for my cereal was not good so I had a late restaurant breakfast then went on to two stores and the post office. Later took some info to Warren Robbins, our long ago PCC Minister, I left the info with his daughter. He had broken his arm, was in the hospital and then in rehab.

Saturday Sam came out and we had breakfast and spent much of the morning at the Avon Legion Post. I watched I.U. lose a football game later.
Sunday started with church and Sunday School attendance. I watched the Colts win a football game.

COMMENTARY: RATING PRESIDENTS, #2 & #12 :
There have been 13 Presidents that I remember as having held office in my lifetime. If things go as planned the next six weekends, starting 9-16-16, I will present my thoughts and evaluation of this group. Today I rate President Eisenhower as number 2 and President Lyndon Johnson as number 12.

The Korean War began before President Dwight Eisenhower assumed office and was concluded in his first term. Within his two terms times were generally good, he started the interstate system, established NASA, and Alaska and Hawaii became part of the Union. He kept America at peace and balanced the budget three times
President Lyndon Johnson became President upon the Death of President Kennedy gradually lost approval and his unpopularity during the Vietnam war led to him not running for a second term. His civil rights legislation led to the present problems suffered by so many of the black population. Some say this is what he hoped for.

COMMENTARY: THE FINAL DEBATE :
Linden's thoughts and opinions include: the moderator was vastly superior to the ones previously used. He did allow Hillary excessive time and to dodge excessively. Worst of all there was no direct question regarding her mishandling of national security matters which is the area that would seem to make her ineligible for the Presidency.
Trump answered questions regarding the Supreme Court, abortion, immigration, and the economy in a manner that was superior to the ramblings of Hillary. Unimpressive defines my impression to answers to questions regarding fitness to be President, foreign affairs, Aleppo, the national debt, and entitlements.
Trump refused to answer the question about being a gracious loser and Hillary was not asked the question: this meaningless question will receive the most unfavorable to Trump coverage. Linden's strongly held position is that America as we favorably know it is over if Hillary is elected.

COMMENTARY: UNKNOWING AND UNCARING :
Possibly the title should read “UNKNOWING OR UNCARING”. Regardless, when we consider the Hillary Clinton campaign corruption it seems that either title fits democrat voters and those who will not vote for either Presidential candidate. Probably those people will not read the article linked below.

Monday started with breakfast at Chick-fil-A then on to two stores, a gas station, my credit union, and the post office. Did two loads of wash. Dan and Diana came by for coffee and conversation. Dinner and program at CDCMF meeting at Connection Pointe church in Brownsburg.

COMMENTARY: THE WAR ON WOMEN? :
Is there really what the media calls a war on women? Until some proof comes along, Linden will continue to think not. It is a handy little slogan that is used frequently by those who hope to use it for political purposes. Maybe the article linked below will make a case for my thinking.

Friday brought the Men's Prayer Breakfast at 6:00. Nothing else of major importance the rest of the day. I did stay busy.
Saturday started with the mens meeting at Kingsway. Later I watched I.U. lose a football game. I goofed up and missed the return of the Indy Honor Flight from D.C. Heard good report on it.
Sunday brought church, Sunday School and brunch with friends. Then, busy at home Got to bed late...watched the Colts lose a game.
