On the Wednesday Rush Limbaugh Show Rush recounted six or eight instances of our President being really angry…the first time was apparently in 2009 and the most recent is almost right now. REMEMBERING LBJ

Shortly after starting blogging, my posting on 10-21-07 rated the Presidents who had “served” within my lifetime to that date. In that rating, I decided that Carter was the worst of the 12 and Johnson was next to the worst. I now wonder if maybe Carter was merely inefficient beyond belief while Johnson was evil. In particular, he was largely responsible for making the life of many of the black population much more difficult. Sadly, the majority of that group have failed to understand this. After a long and pleasant phone visit with Julie, Tuesday started with me dropping off my recyclables and picking up my post office mail. I then attended the Chamber of Commerce luncheon and went on to the site of what was once The Indiana Boy’s School. The Dept. of Correction was the third of the State agencies where I was employed. The grounds had really changed since I last visited there…I believe about 18 years ago. The occasion was to start an American Legion Post among the Short Term Offenders there. It was a good program. In the evening I had dinner at the Avon American Legion Post.

Shortly after breakfast on Monday I did a load of wash, went to a store, a bank, the post office and stopped by church for a few minutes. Cheryl came by in the afternoon…hadn’t seen her for a while. For the first time in months I missed the CDCMF meeting. I watched 24 later in the evening…I like this series and it is one of the few such things I watch on TV with any frequency.

Of course I know that it is “The People’s Race Car” but I prefer to think of it as mine…after a good weekend of qualifying on May 17 and 18, it is nice to know that it will be starting in the 8^th position next Sunday. It is so good to see a relatively small operation doing well.

Friday started with the early morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast. Later, I went to the post office, the credit union, and a grocery then worked on a project.

Saturday brought the monthly men’s meeting at Kingsway Christian Church. Later, I picked the 2^nd and 3^rd place horses in the Preakness but would have bet an exacta and would have lost any money bet. Watched or listened to some of the 500 race qualifications.

Sunday began with church and Sunday school attendance then home to watch more qualification programming and to address some of the stuff I have been letting go.

Results from the Republican Senate primary election in Nebraska report that Tea Party Type Ben Sasse was the winner and in West Virginia another Tea Party Type, Alex Mooney, was the winner in a race for a House seat. Since Tea Party Types generally support doing away with Obamacare, strong national defense, waste reduction, and other worthwhile causes we may conclude that these wins were a potential win for America.

Linden almost never watches network news and to be truthful, he rarely watches any televised news. He prefers digging through the printed word. He will say that he has read so many reports of the network bias, their penchant for reporting the meaningless in great detail and their almost total indifference to news stories that should be covered in depth that he has to put some credence in what he has read. FINAL? GOSNELL MOVIE REPORT

When I posted the blog on Friday I never dreamed that the crowd funding goal of 2.1 million dollars would be met that day. Now the movie will be made and I expect to get a DVD of it for my participation in the fundraising event. It will have to be a sad and sickening movie about the baby killer. GOSNELL MOVIE GETTING CLOSE

It is a good feeling, particularly if you have invested a bit of your own money in it, to see a project approaching the point where it becomes likely to become successful. That is the way Linden feels about the Gosnell Movie project…as of this morning, with 8 days to go to achieve full funding (or no funding at all,) it has over 19,000 willing participants and is less than $250,000.00 from reaching it’s $2,100,000.00 goal. Friday started with Men’s Prayer Breakfast then later Dan and Diana came by and Dan and I took one of my recliners to Joe Taylor for possible repair. Diana has some window cleaners coming to the Mission House: Wendy has moved out.

Saturday started with a great breakfast and a great message delivered by Fred Rodkey at the Chapel Rock men’s meeting. I went to a gas station, two stores, the post office, a bank and by Joe Taylor’s. Watched the Kentucky Derby on TV: if I had bet on it, I picked the winner and came close to picking the second place horse. Since I would have bet an exacta, I would have lost.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school attendance followed by brunch with friends. In the afternoon, I toured the children’s wing that is under construction at church. It is gonna be really nice. Talked to Alison for a few minutes.

You should know that Obamacare passed the Senate with solid support from the democrats and not a single Republican vote. If you don’t know that, no wonder you are a democrat. Thursday started with breakfast with the guys…Paul and Wayne were absent. After breakfast, Jack came to my place and I now have the best computer sound ever. Later, I went to a doctor’s office, by the credit union, the post office, the Mission House, and the church. Did two loads of wash in my spare time.

APRIL CHRISTIAN STUDIES

The messages from the pulpit, delivered by Steve White and Tim Gephart, continued the focus on the story of the Bible: we are now in Kings. Sunday school, led by John Lee, continued this focus. Wednesday nights brought dinner followed by a program of which one was a play. Our Thursday breakfast meeting is back to full strength of six guys: Bill, Paul, Jack, Wayne, and I delivered the prayers and gave the readings. Friday early morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast leaders were Riley Weaver, Bill Furman, and Steve White. Had the usual three meetings at other churches, two at Chapel Rock and one at Kingsway.

Wednesday started with a blood draw at the VA Hospital and then eating an omelet followed by visit with the doctor. It went ok but I was so tired when I got back home that I just had to take a nap. Had dinner at church but didn’t stay for the program. Jack came by my place to try to figure out why my computer sound is so bad…maybe he can get it fixed.
