COMMENTARY: ONLY HOPE: THE REPUBLICANS

Much too often Linden is exposed to opinions which are overly critical of the Republican Party. If these same people who are so critical of the entire Party would study voting records they would see the error of their “thoughts.” Whereas the democrats are usually 100% in favor of those things which upset conservatives the Republicans, except for the two Supreme Court “Justices”, the leaders of the House and the Senate and their relatively small number of stooges, almost always come down on the side of what is right and proper. It is not the Republican Party that is at fault, it is certain members of that party joining with the forces of evil. It is doubtful that the two articles linked below will get much if any media coverage.

Friday started with the Men’s Prayer Breakfast. Later, I had a doctor appointment and may become involved in a clinical trial.

Saturday brought breakfast at the Legion Post: good meal, good visits. Stopped by a store and the post office on the way home.

Sunday started with church and Sunday School attendance followed by brunch with friends. Had my printer replaced in the afternoon.

Linden is well aware that ineptitude does not constitute grounds for impeachment but surely should exist for those “Justices” who voted with the majority in the King-Burwell case. Wednesday started with a late breakfast with Mary in Greenwood at 4 Seasons. Nice visit and good food. Back home, I stayed busy doing little of consequence around the house. Friday brought the early morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast and I was tired the rest of the day. Ran the usual errands and became a backer of another Bless A Stranger project: Link is early in this posting.

Saturday started with the men’s meeting at 7:30 at Kingsway and then on to The Blue Star Salute at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds had a nice time and some good visits. There must have been 500 motorcycles that came as did a Huey Helicopter. I got to feeling bad and left about 1:00, about an hour before scheduled closing time. Went home and felt better after a short nap.

Sunday started with church attendance but didn’t stay for Sunday School. Sam and Shirley had invited me over for brunch at the Garrison where I had the all time best omelet and other good stuff. Sam’s daughter, Terri, her friend, Adrienne, Terri’s daughter, Kelsey, and her husband, Austin were the rest of our group. Adrienne gave me a Father’s Day card and a box of chocolates…I first met her about a year ago. Back home, I had messages from Brian and Julie and later, both of them called. I had a great Father’s Day!

Monday started with biscuits and gravy at Chick-fil-A then on to a store and the mail pickup. I actually accomplished performing some tasks at home and in the evening enjoyed the dinner and program at Southport Heights Christian Church.

COMMENTARY: I STILL MISS SOMEONE

While searching sites for a political happening of possible interest to my readers, I happened to come across this song and realized that it has some meaning to many of us: even thought the words will not fit every situation. It was 12 years ago last Tuesday that Rubye drew her last breaths as we were holding hands. Yes, I still miss her.

Friday brought the Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6:00 and, later, I attended the Vacation Bible School closing ceremonies. As usual, they were great! Almost 900 kids and 3oo adults were present today.

Saturday Austin, Amanda, and I had breakfast together. From there I went to the post office, a grocery, and home for the day. Had a nice phone visit with Julie.

Sunday brought church and Sunday School attendance. Later, said “goodbye” to Austin and Amanda as they are returning to Ghana.

The Heritage Foundation article linked below presents views of seven cases the Supreme Court is expected to act on before the end of June. With four dedicated liberals on the Court we are in danger of seeing our liberties eroded by bad decisions. The court is quite capable of making very bad decisions.

Thursday started with the breakfast meeting with the guys, there were six present. We with an infrequent line-up change have been meeting for at least 20 years. Later, I went to the credit union, post office and a grocery. Then, mostly a quiet day at home…hot outside.

My Tuesday started with attendance at the Hendricks County GOP Chairman’s Breakfast at Prestwick: good food, visits, and program. Back home, in the afternoon Dan and Diana brought some cookies to have with the coffee. Good cookies, nice visit too. In the evening, had dinner at the Avon Legion Post then talked to Brian for a minute.

COMMENTARY: DIM DEM CHAMP???

Linden is more than a little sick of reading that so many comments are racist in nature. Tell me, is it racist to say that our foreign policy is worse than inefficient, that Obamacare is a crushing blow to America, that unemployment is the fault of bad policies, etc, etc?? That our prisons are full of black criminals because on a percentage basis blacks commit more crimes than whites. That black education lags because of policies that blacks support. Oh, never mind…just read the Jimmy Carter article linked below and wish he had accomplished something.

Saturday started with the men’s breakfast at Chapel Rock Christian. Later, I watched some boxing and two horse races: had I been betting, I would have won on one and lost on the other.

Sunday brought church and Sunday School attendance. I wasn’t feeling too well so went home and took a nap. Accomplished little after that.
