Not only undeclared war but almost completely uncovered by the media. An educated guess for the reason would be that the media does not want to tell you much of anything that could cast our transparent leader in the proper light. My computer was down for a while today so I failed (again) to accomplish as much as I had hoped. Did possibly clear up one thing that had been pending for a couple of months. We had another light snow Wednesday night and my Thursday started with Bill picking me up for us to join Chuck, Jack, and Wayne for our Thursday breakfast meeting. Bill brought me back home and my outside ventures concluded with picking up my post office and home delivery mail.

Great day!!! On Wednesday John joined me for breakfast at Chick-fil-A where Michelle presented me with an invitation to bring friends there for dinner on the house. Lucky me! I may use it to reward some of those who have so generously supported my hope to extend my stay in Ireland when I go there. After breakfast, I went to a bank, drove to the Mooresville post office to get my passport renewal in the mail, then back home after picking up my mail.

COMMENTARY; WHAT WOULD HARRY DO???

Please do not think for as long as a second that Linden has high regard for former Senate leader Harry Reid. No, exactly the opposite is true…he must be considered to be a low-lifer. However, he was able to lead the demmies to do anything he wanted. Majority wise, the Republicans are in about the same position that the demmies seemed to handle with ease, to the country’s detriment. Now the minority democrats are holding the country hostage in order to protect the illegal actions of Obama…they are about as bipartisan as Attila the Hun. It is way past time for the Senate Republicans to get tough.

COMMENTARY: CONSIDERING COFFEE AND GASOLINE

Coffee probably accounts for at least 99% of Linden’s fluid intake so it is not surprising that he is pleased to read that there is thought to be health benefits from doing so. In roughly the same vein, Linden was just made aware that some combinations of gasoline diluted with ethanol is considered to be quite dangerous for the welfare of some vehicles. COMMENTARY: HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

It may be that the media focus on the negative has caused Linden to adopt a sometimes negative view of current events. Saturday should have gone a long way to cure that. For the first time ever being one of the judges at an American Legion zone oratorical contest occupied much of my day. Two home schooled students brought tears to my eyes as they presented their views on our constitution. Each one was absolutely fabulous and it was very difficult to consider one of them a winner in the competition. Friday started with the early morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast. Recently one of the postal clerks told me that she was going to put coal in my P.O. box to call attention to me not sharing sweets that I receive. Today there was a little bag of great chocolates labeled, “Coal” in the box. I accused her but she denied being responsible. I like my post office.

On Saturday, heavy snowfall caused my scheduled breakfast to be canceled. At 11:00, Richard picked me up and we went to the Legion Post in Brownsburg for him to oversee the zone oratorical contest and for me to serve as one of the judges. It was a wonderful, emotional experience for me. Had a nice visit with Marsha, one of the other judges. Terry brought me home where I was pretty well done for the day.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school attendance followed by brunch with friends. Then a moderately busy time at home before watching I.U. win a basketball game.

COMMENTARY: IT FELT REALLY COLD!

On Thursday, as Linden was filling the car’s gas tank with the temperature being not over 20 degrees and the wind straight out of the north at about 20 miles per hour he knew that he should mention the global warming hoax. Thursday started with Bill picking me up and then us joining Chuck and Jack for our normal meeting on this day of the week. At 11:30 it was time for the Golden Glows pitch-in luncheon: good!! COMMENTARY: LINDEN WILL BE AVAILABLE

While preparing and consuming my lunch on Wednesday I listened to about an hour of Rush Limbaugh defining that NBC News is not really a news organization. Both Rush and Linden have discussed this view before. Now, Linden will offer his services in that area at a probable cost saving to the network.

Requirements: Linden will not be available until after October 2015. His program will originate in Plainfield, Indiana and he will not be required to travel. Salary will be in the $8 million per year area, Linden will be granted 2 minutes per “news” item read to present his own view. Other requirements will be discussed before contract signing. Yet to be developed is Linden’s plan to reward one listener each week with the sum of about $50,000.00. The Plainfield based support group is yet to be developed:

Wednesday started with biscuits and gravy at Chick-fil-A and then on to two stores and the post office. A lady who I did not recognize told me while I was at one of the stores that I had sold her/them a house 35 years ago. My memory is largely gone. In the evening, I had dinner and attended a study at church then watched I.U. lose a basketball game..

COMMENTARY: PRAYER BREAKFAST REVISITED

Yesterday Linden addressed how a prayer breakfast should be constructed. Today, a significant consideration: if the President appears in the eyes of many to turn his back on Christianity and some ministers of the gospel continue to strongly support him, how will they defend their actions when judgment day comes? In other words, will there be a severe penalty if a representative of God ranks politics over religion. Linden, of course, does not have the final answer. The link below is for your education.

Tuesday started with the GOP Chairman’s Breakfast with provided good food, interactions, and presentations. Later, I dropped off my recyclables and went to the post office twice. At home, I went thru a huge stack of mail that I had not yet looked at. Gonna have to look at some of it again. Not today.

COMMENTARY: SHOULD OBAMA ATTEND?

Linden is inclined to think that a properly constructed prayer breakfast could be of benefit to any person who attends. A Christian prayer breakfast (and other religions may not even hold prayer breakfasts) should be a time when individuals ask God to address certain issues and may include how the individual wants the outcome to be. It should not be a time for self-serving political type ramblings. Naturally, there should be some food served. The link below addresses the subject as it pertains to our President.

COMMENTARY: THE LIFE OF BRIAN

Linden does not have the writing skill to make you completely aware of how pleased he is to be the father of his son, Brian. This would also be true as it pertains to his daughter, Julie. But, this posting is not about either one of my dear children: no, it touches upon Brian Williams who has recently been much in the news regarding his suspected dishonesty. Linden’s view of much of the “news” that is presented to the gullible public by the well dressed accomplished script reader is nothing more than filler between advertisements. Friday started with the early morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast at church. Later, I made another attempt to get info regarding James W. Trotter who came to the Staunton, VA area from Ireland in 1739. No luck yet. Kent called saying that Donna did not want to see the movie American Sniper, I did, so we went and considered it to be great. Brought tears to my eyes more than once.

Saturday was breakfast and a good lesson at Chapel Rock Christian Church. Bob Haltom gave me a new bible because the one I had Friday morning was obviously falling apart. It was a very thoughtful gift. Later, I watched Butler win a basketball game and then watched four horse races. If I had been betting, I would have won on two of them but still would have suffered a net loss of $15.40.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school attendance followed by brunch with friends. Then, I watched I.U. win a basketball game, talked to Brian and corresponded with Julie. Received the sad news that a good friend of many years, Raymond Andrews, passed away this morning.

Thursday started with Bill picking me up and us going to the usual Thursday breakfast meeting: only four of us were present on this day. Good meeting anyhow. During the day I puttered around the house, went to two banks and the post office. My activities would impress not a single person. Married one either. I picked up take-out food at the Legion Post for my dinner. Good!

COMMENTARY: DOLLARS WELL SPENT!!!

Prior to the elections last November, Linden carefully determined the amount of money he could donate to conservative candidates and then determined which candidates should receive the funds he would make available. He selected just over a dozen candidates and was rewarded by almost all of them winning their election. Mia Love, a candidate in the Utah 4^th District House election was one of those he selected and he could hardly be happier that she was elected. She addressed the House regarding Obamacare February 3 and Richard Piatt of her staff made the video linked below available for our enjoyment and approval. Linden loved it!

Wednesday morning I went to the post office and by the Mission House. At lunch time I went to The Legion and three of us went to The Boathouse Grill where I had the best ever bowl of clam chowder and we enjoyed a nice visit. In the evening I had dinner and attended a prayer study at church.

My morning started with Jack bringing over some food that Helen had prepared and it became dinner and it was GOOD! I then had breakfast at Chick-fil-A, had a copy made at Pier 14, dropped off recyclables, and picked up my post office mail. Busy afternoon at home, except for the nap. In the evening I watched I.U. lose a basketball game and switched back and forth and saw a great deal of the Butler win.
