EVEN IN CALIFORNIA

Still feeling slightly like puking when I think of the democrats 75 instances of applauding the SOTU speech it was difficult to select a topic for today’s posting. The report that Representative Henry Waxman is turning his back on “service” after only 40 years of opposition to things which Linden holds dear, seems to be worth mentioning. SOTU REVISITED

Those who read yesterday’s posting know that the subject was Linden’s suggestion for the SOTU speech. It was much better that the speech which was delivered. On Wednesday, Linden reviewed the comments made by some of those who actually watched the speech and read the transcript of the speech. The comments could be described as generally less than favorable and the transcript contained no less than75 (SEVENTY FIVE) references to the speech being interrupted by applause. Linden’s hope is that very, very few Republicans joined in with those democrats who were applauding. Perhaps you should see if you can find a copy of the speech being delivered, try to identify your representative(s) and attempt to have them replaced by a nut house resident. Can you imagine effectively saying that everything is just great but we still need to expand federal job training? Just a thought.

SUGGESTED SOTU SPEECH

It is unfortunate that Linden’s busy schedule demands that he not take the time necessary to listen to the Tuesday night State Of The Union speech. Rather than the disgustingly frequent applause perhaps a “you lie” cry by one or more of the attendees would be appropriate. Following is Linden’s suggestion for the speech: “I know that you know that I have a history of lying to you…that will stop. I will become an enemy of rewarding law breakers in regard to immigration control. I will become an enemy of raising taxes. I will become a friend of reducing cost of government. I will become an enemy of increasing the federal debt. I will not support raising the minimum wage, and will attempt to reduce the cost to taxpayers due to lax welfare applications. In short, I will become a friend to the taxpayer” It should not take long to deliver such a speech.

Tuesday, like Monday, was miserably cold. Had a nice phone visit with Laura, the world’s best County Elections Supervisor, corresponded with Brian and Julie, and picked up my mail. In the evening, Bill and Barbara had Stan and Sue plus Wendy and myself over for a very good dinner and visit. They showed a very entertaining video. Good evening.

Friday brought Men’s Prayer Breakfast and trips to the post office and store.

Saturday found Sam coming out for our monthly breakfast and visit at the Avon Legion Post. Later, I went to Danville for another Legion meeting but the parking lot was full so I returned home. On that trip, saw several cars that had slid off the road. Watched Butler lose a basketball game.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school attendance plus a meeting regarding an upcoming Golden Glows program. Watched I.U. win a basketball game. It, for a welcome change, was warmer on Sunday.

She has been in the news lately for embellishing her accomplishments but, since it is hardly newsworthy for a democrat politician to tell whoppers, we will just divert to a recent Email I received and follow that with a link that it is possible that I have presented before.

On the first day of school, the children brought gifts for their teacher. The supermarket manager’s daughter brought the teacher a basket of assorted fruit. The florist’s son brought the teacher a bouquet of flowers. The candy-store owner’s daughter gave the teacher a pretty box of candy. Then the liquor-store owner’s son brought up a big, heavy box. The teacher lifted it up and noticed that it was leaking a little bit. She touched a drop of the liquid with her finger and tasted it. “Is it wine?” she guessed. “No” said the little boy. “It’s a puppy.”

Although the article linked below is worthy of being the sole subject of the blog today, My conversation with the attendant at the UPS Store was amusing enough that it is given top billing. He informed me that Bibles are the most frequently stolen of mailed articles and that the two most often stolen items from stores are Preparation H and pregnancy test kits. Linden would have failed all three of these questions if he had been tested.

This cold Friday started with Men’s Prayer Breakfast. Stayed busy doing nothing important, went to the post office and had a phone visit with Paul.

Saturday brought the meeting with the guys at Kingsway for breakfast. Went to a gas station, store and post office. Called Alison to wish her a happy 18^th birthday. Watched I.U. lose a poorly played basketball game. Snow in the evening.

For the second time this year I stayed home from church and Sunday school. Watched Denver win their football game. Exchanged messages with Brian and went to the store to replace my coffee maker and get other stuff.

This does not mean that Linden is a Christie admirer. It might be appropriate to mention that Linden has little faith in the willingness of some “Christian” church leaders to happily accept Sharpton as a speaker at their church. Of course Linden has lectured on this subject before but as long as this type of criminal behavior exists it cannot be pointed to too frequently. Thursday started with Bill picking me up. because of the snow, and us going on to meet with Chuck and Jack for breakfast. Later, I went to the post office and by the church and then Dan and Diana came by. Dan cleared the lane leading to my house of the deep snow.

Friday started with the early Men’s Prayer Breakfast. I had lunch with Dan and Diana then went on to the credit union, a bank, two groceries and the post office.

Saturday started with the mid-morning Avon Writers Group. I watched I.U. win their basketball game with Penn State, Butler’s heartbreaking overtime loss to Georgetown and then watched the Colts lose their football playoff game.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school attendance followed by brunch with friends and, later in the day, watched the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning win their playoff game

It was nice to prepare for this posting by considering four different items that were worthy of bringing to your attention. Being an admirer of Ann Coulter and her ability to think rationally and transfer these thoughts to the written word, it follows that her words are those brought to your attention in the link below. It fits in nicely with Linden’s previously expressed belief that many polls are nothing more than attempt to influence the thinking of the poll users. For example, can you, in your wildest dreams, believe that over thirty percent of some of those polled actually believe that Obama is doing a good job of leading the country? Education may be bad but there is no way it has failed to that extent. So, read Coulter’s linked article.

Dan cleared the snow from the lane leading to my abode and even shoveled off the snow leading to where I park the car. Made this a purty good day until I watched Butler lose a double overtime basketball game.

On Friday I went to the license branch, the post office, and by the church. Did some correspondence and broke the lock in my entry door.

Saturday I met Wendy at the Mission House. We went to breakfast and her grandfather joined us. Later, we went by the care facility where her grandmother resides. Later, I went to the gas station, grocery and post office. Had phone visits with my family and several friends. Watched some disappointing basketball efforts and the great Colts win. Good birthday!

Sunday, for the first time in a long time I failed to go to church. Too much snow to trust my walking in it. Had several phone calls and Kent walked over to bring me some very good bean soup he made. The snow is deep.
