TOO MUCH TO HOPE FOR
In the roughly four years that Linden has been posting this blog he has written numerous times about his puzzlement regarding the addiction of the black population (particularly those who consider themselves to be Christians) with the democrat party. Much like Social Security, that party guarantees individual poverty.
Today, I would like for you to view the link below…it presents the belief that at long last some of the blacks are turning their backs on the party that has so long guaranteed many of them a life of poverty.

On Tuesday, I went by the Mission House for a minute then dropped off my recyclables, went to the post office and by Pier 14. Had an enjoyable lunch at Chick-fil-A with the Dan who is the intern who will be with PCC until the end of the year. Had a good dinner at the Avon American Legion Post.

KILLING AMERICA’S PROTECTORS
Keeping our country secure has been an important personal consideration for Linden for over 60 years. Any failure by a person charged with responsibility in that area is deeply resented. Linden feels that some, yet unidentified, person is responsible for each aspect of the recent Benghazi attack on our country. It is impossible to even consider that the former Navy Seal did not believe that he had air support when he laser painted the mortar emplacement. This painting resulted in his death. MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST
This may be a strange title for a politically oriented blog posting but it will have to do. About Linden’s favorite portion of any week starts at 6:00 on Friday mornings and lasts an hour. The format is usually breakfast, prayer, and bible study. Weekly attendance is around 75 men.

As the 10-26-12 meeting was about ready to start, Enoch Nyador came in and sat beside me…we had a nice visit and, later, he gave an update of his efforts with his ministry in Ghana. He was aware of my being involved in the New Hampshire Presidential primary election and we shared laughs over that effort. He also said that he listens to the CD of my music as he travels, he will be traveling around the area for the next few days. Good to see him.

Also at my table was local attorney Greg Black. He brought me up to date regarding an effort by Orly Taitz to block Obama from being on the Indiana ballot. I admire her work and Greg’s involvement. Apparently the judge hearing the case accepted that Obama’s birth certificate is a forgery but, since the complainant is not a candidate, the case will not go forward at this time. Friday brought the breakfast mentioned above and, in the evening, I had a good dinner at the McPhails.

On Saturday, I had breakfast at The Legion, watched I.U. win a football game, and had a phone visit with Brian.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school attendance…Norm and Jill gave me a very nice new Bible…I was touched. Talked to Brian again as I watched the Colts win a game. In the evening, we had a pitch-in dinner at church followed by a presentation by Todd and Tami Carter who have recently returned from Tanzania. They and their three children stayed in the Mission House for a couple of nights.

Surely any person who possesses even a modicum of Christian belief and societal knowledge will acknowledge this statement to be true. Linden believes that this is basically what Richard Mourdock was expressing while speaking at a political debate. His words regarding rape and the possibly resultant pregnancy aroused the likely suspects who are most focused upon maintaining democrat control of the U.S. Senate. Since laws addressing abortion are most likely to be enacted by State Legislatures, the exact opinion or one U.S. Senator would appear to be of little importance. Perhaps we should instead consider that Mourdock’s opponent is considered to be hostile to taxpayers by Citizens Against Government waste.

Linden was so pleased to attend a Thursday fundraising breakfast for Richard Mourdock…he, along with Congressmen Todd Rokita and Jim DeMint were the principal speakers. Good food and good words…perhaps the ones Linden enjoyed most were those of DeMint saying he would rather lead 30 Republicans who believe in something than 60 who believe in nothing at all. Richard Mourdock believes in solving the problems which currently bedevil our country. Support him! Related link below.

Thursday was a beautiful day and it got off to a good start at the breakfast mentioned above. My tablemates were great in every regard and I enjoyed the time spent with them…it was also nice to see several others that I see less often than I would prefer. Back home, I was busy the rest of the day being involved in a wide variety of interests.

Linden is well aware that practically everything you read and/or hear is colored by the personal opinion of the person who is presenting their view. Linden is not exempt from this generalization…he strongly believes that the last four years have been a disaster for America and much of the world and that you can predict future results by studying past record. In regard to the final debate of this contest, Romney continue to look, act, and debate in a Presidential manner while Obama is accusatory, defensive, often untruthful, and rudely interruptive. It is hard to defend any person who would vote for Obama.

Paul and Judy picked me up at 8:00 enroute to his eye doctor appointment at 9:00 on the East side of Indianapolis and mine on the North side at 11:00. We each have no new major concerns in this area. We had a good lunch at the Irish Pub in Plainfield. At home, I took a nap while waiting for my eyes to return to normal. Then, Dan and Diana came by and, later, I went by the post office and the church.

Linden has to admit that Mitt Romney was not his first choice when the primary election was held…lack of exposure to the real Mitt was the reason for this thinking blunder. He is the epitome of Presidential. Now we have seen him in two “debates” and have started to see the truth about him be occasionally presented by a reluctant media, we can now confidently say that he is our best choice for President. Friday brought Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6:00 followed by trips to a grocery and the post office, and phone conversations with Brian and Julie.
Saturday started with meeting with the men’s group at Kingsway church and a writers group meeting at 10:00. On TV, watched I.U. suffer another tough football loss and, later, watched some boxing.
Sunday brought church and Sunday school services and I helped pass out info packets regarding fund raising for our church expansion effort. Later, watched the Colts win a football game.

DO YOU REALLY CARE?
At this point in the history of our country there may have never been a time when your vote is more important to you and to the generations to come. The election of Mitt Romney is an absolute necessity. The Republicans are expected to retain control of the House and certainly it is important that they do so. That brings us to the Senate. A vote for any democrat Senator is effectively a vote for Harry Reid and the agenda of President Obama. Voting for a third party candidate is also evidence of not caring enough to replace the democrats. If the Republicans do not win the Presidency and control of both branches of congress, the ability to effect necessary changes is weakened. Our country and your loved ones need you to step up.

SECOND DEBATE WRAPUP
As one should expect, the news was full of opinions regarding the second Presidential debate. It seems that Romney was declared the winner by a not large majority, the moderator was widely panned for her obvious favoritism of Obama, and several of Obama’s untruths were mentioned. From Linden’s standpoint, the best part was hearing some of the 2008 Obama supporters express their regret for being taken in.

This debate found both men on the attack…Obama performed much better than he did in the first debate…unfortunately for him, there are no words that can disguise the utter failure of his last four years. Romney performed well enough but the moderator allowed Obama to have about three minutes more than Romney received. Much will be written about this debate, surely some about Obama’s deceptive treatment of the Libya situation. Linden did not see this debate as a game changer.

Linden’s last seven postings were entitled “Strike One thru Strike Seven On Obama.” Often included was the notation, “Linden is well aware that it is normally three strikes and you are out. However, in this instance, in order to avoid any hint of racial bias, Linden decided to allow Obama extra strikes. After all, in this case “out” means determined to be unfit for public office.”

The strikes on Obama centered on his judgment in the following areas:
1. Relationship with an unrepentant terrorist.
2. Relationship with an America hating preacher.
3. Relationship with an undesirable organization.
4. Relationship with a now convicted shady character.
5. Relationship with another suspect “man of the cloth.”
6. Support for abortion and post abortion murder.
7. Support for those who caused the current financial crisis.

Now, to you. If the above is not sufficient to cause you to support Obama’s opponent, it is strike one on you and it is, regardless of your color, one strike an you’re out: Out of your mind!

In this day there are many black conservatives that are deserving of praise. Today, Linden will devote a few words to the two mentioned in the title of this piece. In the Marcus article that is linked to below he heaps shame on the black Christians who are defending Obama as their choice. In this, Marcus has joined with the intent of several of Linden’s previous articles.

Herman Cain was one of the guests on the Greg Garrison radio show Monday morning. He mentioned one of his current activities is presenting to employers in several states (maybe 30) a program encouraging them and some of those involved in Christian ministry to oppose Obama reelection.

It has been said that in 1999 it was discovered that an Illinois hospital was letting babies die in a utility room after their attempted abortion was botched.

It has also been said that Barack Obama, as a state legislator, was not in favor of those bills which provided legal protection to all babies who were born alive.

In Linden’s opinion this opposition by Obama is entirely different than being opposed to abortion before delivery. IT IS, WITHOUT A DOUBT, CONDONING MURDER!

If it is murder, how can any believing Christian vote for Obama? If you approve of murder, how much worse is a murderer? Your Judgment Day is coming!

Friday started with Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6:00 and the rest of the day was just the usual minor involvements. Sandi cleaned my place while I was at breakfast.
On Saturday I helped prepare packets re our new church building programs: they will be passed out the next two Sundays. Watched a bunch of football.
Sunday brought church, Sunday school, brunch with friends and watching football and boxing.

In general, Linden was not greatly surprised with any aspect of the debate: the moderator, in his opinion, did an acceptable job, Ryan continues to be impressive and Biden (also opinion) has trouble being truthful, is rude, and most irritating of all was his wide grin and head shaking as he attempted to disagree while Ryan was speaking. The biggest Biden untruth may have been his denial that the Consulate in Benghazi had requested beefed up security forces. Of course, saying that Obama don’t lie may also qualify as a whopper.

Had a pretty full day on Thursday. It started with the usual breakfast meeting with the guys then, the Golden Glows pitch-in at 11:30. Following the meal, Chris and Nicea Irwin gave an update about their efforts in Spain. Both the meal and the report were very good. In the evening, I helped for a while with the upcoming Upward Basketball program at church.

Very shortly after this disaster was a news item, about a month ago, the administration hacks started and continued blaming an anti Muslim video. At about this same time Rush Limbaugh laid the blame on an incompetent administration led by our President who even, some time later, blamed the video when he addressed the U.N. Of course he had total agreement from Hillary Clinton, Jay Carney, Susan Rice, and much of the media. We now know that this major portion of the media is nothing more than a mouthpiece for this highly inefficient administration.

LIBERTY LOVING LIBERTARIANS?
Linden has very little trouble with much of the Libertarian belief system…it is much like that of the Republicans in many respects. What he is concerned with at this time is the end result of these beliefs if taken to the voting booth. In plain words, a vote for the Libertarian candidate in the Presidential race or the Indiana Senatorial race is effectively a vote for Barack Obama or one of his strong supporters. The Libertarian candidate will likely achieve maybe 3% of the vote and this 3% could very well sway the vote away from the forces of evil if it had been given to the Republican candidate. One thing is now clearly etched in Linden’s mind: Governor Sarah Palin is clearly the class of the four who are involved in this contest and just may have the gumption it would take to steer John McCain out of the shoals that will face any leader of this great country. Linden left home shortly after 7:00 on Monday and arrived at the Government Center in Danville at the same time as Laura, the Elections Supervisor. I brought donuts and cream puffs for the workers and she brought me a cup of coffee. By virtue of being first in line to vote, Romney, Ryan, and Mourdock jumped to an early lead on this, the first day of absentee machine voting in Hendricks County, Indiana. Surely this early lead will hold up thru election day in November. Was back home at 8:45 after eating one of the donuts and a cream puff.

Friday brought Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6;00. I slept so poorly last night that I was glued to my recliner most of the day. Did go to the post office and Pier 14.
On Saturday, I attended a good men’s meeting at Chapel Rock CC. Another loss for the I.U. football team….maybe the most disappointing yet.
Sunday brought Church and Sunday school attendance followed by brunch with friends, a trip to the grocery, and a Colts win.

From Linden’s standpoint the first Presidential debate of 2012 was a great watching experience…Obama came across looking like a spoiled child that was taking a test that he was totally unprepared for. His supporters, the media, and his opponents almost universally panned his performance. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney looked Presidential. If the media had looked at Obama with anything like a critical eye four years ago, it is doubtful that he would be our President now and our country would be better off.
