Never in Linden’s long life has he anticipated having a day when he would and should be so deeply ashamed of the majority leadership of our country. The only redeeming factor in The SCOTUS decision that Obamacare is constitutional is that four of the Justices found every part it to be unconstitutional. Remember how this was sold by Obama, Reid and Pelosi? It was sold as not being a tax. It apparently is. This means that ORP are liars, but surely you already knew this. It seems that the democrats never run out of really bad ideas and the one we will focus on today is only one of the current batch. It has been proven over and over that gun control is an unpopular measure in the eyes of the majority of the population and that crime skyrockets in those areas where it is implemented. I was outside very little but did go to the post office to pick up my mail which included a wedding invitation from Sam and Shirley’s granddaughter.  Brian sent me some pictures he had taken in Italy. Dan and Diana came in for coffee and a visit as they were doing some work around the place.

A NEW THOUGHT?

I believe that Linden had the thought before and had moved it to the back of the storage bin in his mind until he was reminded while listening to the Rush Limbaugh show on Tuesday. The thought touches on the complete lack of coverage of the possibility that any of the four most liberal Supreme Court Justices would adopt for even a short time a conservative position. We often encounter media coverage that examines the possibility that one or more of the clearer thinking Justices will go nuts…even if only for a short time. But, never, it seems, is the possibility that Breyer, Ginsburg, Kagan or Sotomayor could become aware of the meaning of our constitution addressed. It would be nice. Maybe, when readership and viewership  of MSM outlets shrinks to much nearer nothing, we will see a change.

Tuesday I had breakfast at Chick-fil-A again then went on to two stores, the credit union and the post office. In the afternoon, Dan and Diana dropped by for a short visit and Brian called to see if I had received some of the pictures he had taken in Italy…I had only received one (of a Venetian canal) so he is going to resend some others.

A GIFT FOR LINDEN?

The effort addressed in this posting is still in the development stage so it is still too early to start sending gifts. The thought came as a result of reports of the Obama re-election fundraising approach of soliciting gifts from upcoming wedding attendees rather than the gift being given to the bride and groom. Rush Limbaugh spoke of this on his Monday radio show. If Linden should actually start this type of begging, he will identify certain dates within his long life as being gift giving opportunities for readers of this blog. Then, monies received would be redirected to political candidates deemed worthy by Linden. No democrats currently “serving” in the Senate nor any person who had voted for President Obama would be considered as being worthy.

Not real active: Friday brought the early morning prayer breakfast, Saturday I did a little errand running and Sunday brought church, Sunday school and a bluegrass music meeting. Far and away the best weekend happening was talking to Brian and Sheri as they were on the way from the airport to their home after a great time in Italy. Two friends are in need of prayers for improved health: Raymond Andrews attempting to recover from bypass surgery and Sharon Herbitter is scheduled for knee surgery June 25.

IS IT OK TO KILL MEXICANS?

It must be or otherwise branches of our U.S. government would not have furnished arms to Mexican drug cartels with a history of having no regard for human life. Even if one could justify the killing of Mexicans, surely they would hesitate to kill an American Border Patrol Agent. Since these crimes did occur and since the Obama administration is forgetting their transparency promise in this area (as well as others) we can only hope that decent Americans in every area will judge harshly. Although the lack of employment is of vital interest to a very large percentage of the American people, the situation is of long standing, the administration has provided no positive results and, it will be a continuing focus in most of the news networks and sources such as this blog. But, the major news of the day has to do with illegally providing guns to Mexican drug cartels. The fact that this was done by employees of the American taxpayer makes it even more despicable.

In a House Committee vote on Wednesday it was determined that Attorney General Holder should be charged with contempt of Congress. Naturally the 23-16 Committee vote was along party lines. President Obama has stepped into the matter. Do you happen to remember when we were promised the most transparent administration?

The Club For Growth recently released their Congressional rating in regard to “pro growth” voting. Linden prefers to think of it as a rating regarding cost cutting. Yesterday, this blog addressed the pitiful performance of Senatorial candidate Joe Donnelly. Today we will look at the rating of those who “served” in the House…this includes Donnelly. Of the 430 who were rated, the worst Republican came in at #242…only a few democrats were rated higher. Of our three Indiana democrats, Visclosky came in at #295, Carson was #347 and Donnelly was #361. GET THIS, JOE DONNELLY WAS RATED AS BEING WORSE THAN ANDRE CARSON! Linden believes that any Hoosier who fails to vote for Richard Mourdock for Senator is effectively acting against their own best interests.

On Monday I met Jan for a midmorning bagel at Panera Bread…I enjoy our infrequent visits. The bagel and coffee kinda hit the spot, too. Received cards from Julie’s…I’m enjoying the book she sent earlier. I developed a very painful ear ache…even hurt to touch the bones around the ear…took a nap and the ache was gone. Thankfully, the ear remained. Any energy I had was also gone. In the evening, a small group of us went to Cornerstone Christian Church for a Camp Allendale support meeting. Good meeting and meal…I believe the cherry pie was the best I’ve ever had.

On Sunday, The Indianapolis Star quoted liberal Senatorial candidate Joe Donnelly “This election is about very, very clear choices, extremely partisan politics versus Hoosier common sense.” This is correct but, unfortunately, Joe wrongly implied that it is the democrats who practice bipartisanship, those who believe his slant should look at his voting record. Friday brought Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6:00 followed by mostly routine activities the rest of the day. Brian surprised me with a call at about 6:00 p.m… he was in Sicily and enjoying his time in Italy.

Saturday the Kingsway men met at Burger King…nice meeting. Writers group met at 10:00. My mail included a Father’s Day gift from Julie, the book, “I Thought My Father Was God.” I’m liking it.

Sunday brought church and Sunday school: Dottie Meyer gave me a gift box of chocolates that Kevin and Dimi had her bring back from Austria. Love them. Later, I talked to Brian and Sheri who were in another Italian town which they liked…Sheri joined Brian on Saturday. Shortly after that call, Julie called from Chicago and I talked to her and Jade. My Father’s Day blessings were complete!

Red State alerted me to a Club For Growth study regarding voting patterns of those who were considering cost cutting measures in the Congress.

In the Senate, all Republicans were ranked above the best democrat or other socialist, Ben Nelson of Nebraska. Bob Casey of PA and Sherrod Brown of OH, democrats (of course) were the last place finishers, casting nary a vote for a cost cutting measure.

In the House, 232 Republicans were ranked ahead of the most cost conscious democrat, Boren of Oklahoma. Seven Republicans were ranked below Boren. Following is a link to Club For Growth.

Dan adjusted the closure of my storm door and earlier had sprayed some on the poison ivy that surround the tree near where I park my car. He did good! FEELING SUPERIOR JUSTIFIED

Surely most Americans know that the private sector is not doing just fine, that the unemployment rate reported as 8.2% has no meaning in the real world and that a dummied up birth certificate is rather easily recognizable. These three items (of a much larger number) have not yet sunk in to the mind of the hope and change occupant of the White House. Perhaps a Harvard education is overrated. Following is a related link

I awakened a good two hours before I had planned to and paid the penalty by being a dead head all day. I did manage to pick up and process my mail and iron five shirts…four of them had button down collars. I do not like to iron or wear such shirts but I have them and will eventually dispose of them as rags.

For years Linden wondered why he found the basic beliefs of The Republican Party to be mostly in line with his own conservative beliefs and to be best for his country and those he loved. Certainly if being rich were necessary he did not qualify at all. What a relief it was to discover that this label was one created and then perpetuated by the MSM. Friday I attended the closing ceremonies of VBS at church it was great! The children were so excited! Average children attendance was over 800 and there were close to 300 adult workers involved.

Saturday I attended the funeral for Bernard Trent, a great Christian man.

Sunday brought church and Sunday School. At church I picked up my bed pillow that I had left at Johnson U…Fred Brasher brought it back. I had no idea that I had left it there…was sure that I put it on the bus with my other things.

Yeah, this posting is referring to President Obama and, no, it does not address his very apparent lack of leadership in properly addressing the job creation, overspending, and worldwide loss of respect for America situations. It does not even address his continuing lack of respect for our military or time spent on the golf course.

Instead, the focus will be on his outstanding leadership in using taxpayer funds to attend a great number of political fundraising events while attempting to classify them as being related to his actual responsibilities. Linden is about to vomit so he will drop the subject. For now.

Not having the financial resources to attend the Obama type fund raisers (not that he would if he could afford them,) Linden is highly selective if and when he will support political candidates with any of his dollars. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was one of those who did qualify in Linden’s eyes and, after the bills were paid, a paltry amount was sent in support of him. It is nice to back a winner!!

Other that trips to the credit union, a bank, and the post office, I was inside practically all day. Corresponded a bit with Brian and finished some reading. My friend, Joyce, had intended to come out from Indianapolis but was not able to do so…haven’t seen her or Carl for a while. Kent dropped by for a minute as he was out for his evening walk…his back operation has him a bit restricted in some areas but he is walking well and it appears that the operation was very successful.

TERM LIMIT SENATOR HATCH?

Linden has vacillated between favoring and opposing legislated term limits for several years: now, he favors it. However, at the present time the only way we can accomplish limiting length of “service” is by voting out the ones who have overstayed their length of “service.”

In this vein, much as was true of the Indiana contest between Senator Lugar and Richard Mourdock, it is time for Senator Hatch to go. Hopefully in both instances Lugar and Hatch will be replaced by a much more conservative person. In the following link, Michelle Malkin makes a great case in support of my view:

Mostly a quiet day although I did see a bunch of VBS attendees on the church property. I had breakfast at Chick-fil-A after dropping off my recyclables and going to the post office. Later, I went to the grocery. I talked to both Brian and Alison and corresponded with Julie. I am happy to report that she was not chosen for jury duty in Chicago…she has enough on her plate in other areas.
